I’m a college student and looking forward to pursue my career as a freelance copywriter. I’m a total noob to this right now. And your website is quite helpful!

Thanks for your feedback Michael. And yes, you should treat every discussion with a potential client as job interview.
Maybe not a ‘serious’ job interview, but an informal one for sure. As a copywriter, its important to think ‘strategically’
about a clients business too. They might want you to write a brochure, but what they actually ‘need’ is a direct mail
letter and a free report written. Again, thinking strategically about their business and asking questions are great
ways to impress prospects with your knowledge and convert them into clients.

Thanks again!
Jesse

And the thing I dread the most is everything to do with marketing myself.
You’ve helped me get a handle on that resistance with your real world advice and comments. This particular video is a prime example. I now realize that every discussion with a potential client is a job interview. And being ready for what they’re going to ask is crucial.
Excellent work! Thanks.

I do get these questions from copywriting clients all the time and have used similar answers, however hearing you provide this helps me to feel more certain about how I respond. Thanks!
