Facebook is not just the place you go to share photos with your friends and family. It’s also a great place if you want to land some copywriting jobs. And in this post, I’m going to give you 3 strategies you can use right away to find and attract copywriting jobs using the world’s #1 social media platform, Facebook.

Strategy #1: Post This Status Update

Now, the first strategy is to post a status update on your personal Facebook wall and tell your friends, your family and followers that you’re a copywriter looking for copywriting clients or you’re looking for copywriting jobs.   You might want to post something like: “Hey just wanted to let everyone know that I just started my copywriting business and I’m keen to work with my first few clients. Send me a message if you’re interested, or know someone who’s interested.”  

Strategy #2: Find And Join Facebook Groups

This strategy is all about finding and joining Facebook groups related to marketing and business. You want to join the types of groups that have your potential clients in them already. These might be marketing groups, internet marketing groups, online business groups, startup groups, entrepreneurial groups or any of these groups that you could join and there are thousands of these types of groups on Facebook. Strategy #3: Seek Out Industry Leaders

The last strategy is to seek out industry leaders. People who have the influence, who have large followings, or friends and fans who could be your potential target audience. You want to befriend that industry leader on Facebook and once they add you as a friend, you can now access their wall and you can answer questions, you can comment on their status updates and you can basically interact with their friends and followers. Just like a friend in real life, you should always aim to be helpful, supportive and to provide real value. Not to simply sell your services.     Now, you’re probably going to get the attention of the industry leader but you’ll also get the attention of all their friends, fans and followers who are going to be reading your comments that you make when they do a status update.
