Regarding that quote that you love:

I am aware that it was your intention to illustrate a concept with a humorous example, but I wish you had chosen a different one. The phrase “Short enough to be interesting” assumes a male gaze and makes women an object for ogling. As a woman who has had to balance looking appealing to (realistically) predominantly male bosses, who has been asked by a male boss to wear more makeup to work, and who has to balance “long enough” with “interesting” without being seen as prudish or slutty, this quote was really a turn off from what was an otherwise informative article.

Again, a good guide. Yeah why not think a bit different when everyone is rushing towards the online market, why not COPYWRITERS should!

Hey Jesse, Thanks very much for the reply. I finally decided to just ask about the level of importance in graphic design that copywriters need to either understand or contribute to, because, as a newbie copywriter, it’s been difficult for me to understand the relationship between selling the copy without the “knockout” graphics/image to go with it. Grateful for your reply – it’s helps a lot with what I should be focusing on (…which is the copy!)
